1.) In a browser, (firefox or chrome are suggested), navigate to https://soe.vpn.wisc.edu/ and sign in with your SOE-AD network credentials. The screen confusingly refers to Netid - but in this case it is your SoE AD network credentials If you need assistance with your SOE-AD network credentials please email email@example.com or call 608-263-4333
2.) After Logging in, click on “Download Windows 64 bit GlobalProtect agent”. This will download a Windows Installer Package file. Open this file via file explorer from your downloads folder or from the browser's downloads shortcut icon.
3.) After clicking on the installer file from your downloads, follow the prompts clicking next and then close at the end. During installation it will prompt for administrator credentials.
4a.) If GlobalProtect does not automatically open after installation either search for GlobalProtect in your programs or right click on the icon on the bottom right of your taskbar
4b.) Once in the GlobalProtect panel, enter “soe.vpn.wisc.edu” in the portal address bar.
