New Linux/Apache and Windows/IIS restricted data handling servers

DoIT's Shared Web Hosting service is pleased to announce that a new Windows 2012 IIS8 and RedHat 6 LAMP platform servers are in the works
There are a number of groups on campus with business needs to store or process Restricted Data. Securing Restricted Data is high stakes for the University and adhering to best practices can be onerous for campus IT departments. DoIT currently has a restricted data hosting offering for Windows and the Java platforms. However we will be enhancing the current offerings to provide secure, scalable and affordable environments for hosting Restricted Data web applications on the Windows 2012 and now Linux (LAMP) platforms.
The availability of the new LAMP platform is expected in February 2013 and upgraded Windows platform in April 2013.
