Web Hosting - Oracle Connectivity - tnsnames.ora

TNSNAMES.ORA is a Oracle configuration file that defines databases addresses for establishing connections to them.

DoIT's Web Hosting Service automatically syncs with a universal tnsnames.ora file that is maintained and supplied by DoIT's Database Administrators.

The file is also shared to appropriate staff on GitLabs at: https://git.doit.wisc.edu/DRMT/tnsnames

The Web Hosting service checks the git repository every hour and if there are changes they are pulled into each web server.
