UW Reporting and Data Access in Workday

Definition UW Health Logo

Workday introduces enhanced access to financial and HR data across the Universities of Wisconsin. Reporting in Workday includes thousands of standard and customized reports and dashboards designed to support day-to-day business operations and strategic planning.

In addition to Workday’s built-in tools, the Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP) supports broader data needs, such as combining legacy data with Workday data for longitudinal analysis.

  • Workday Reporting: Built-in reports and dashboards available within Workday.
  • Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP): A system-wide data lake that stores both legacy and Workday data to support historical and enterprise-level reporting.
  • OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition): A legacy reporting tool used primarily for HR data, being retired with Workday’s implementation.
  • WISER (WISconsin Enterprise Reporting): The primary financial reporting tool across UW institutions, currently powered the Shared Financial System (SFS) and the Human Resource System (HRS), being retired with Workday’s implementation.
