Overview

Wiscard is the official UW Madison photo identification card.

The card comes with an identification number, which is used to activate a NetID; the NetID is the access code used for a number of campus internet services.

The Wiscard is also the ID card used to obtain other UW services such as library privileges and to obtain a discounted bus pass.

How to Get a Wiscard

Employees and students must present a form of identification, for example, a valid driver's license or passport.

New employees may obtain their initial card at no cost upon verification of employment.
