UW Theme Classic - Editing content layout background colors

This document will walk you through the process of updating the background color for your content layouts in the UW Theme.

Important

This document outlines steps related to UW Theme Classic. This theme will be decommissioned in WiscWeb at the end of December 2026. At that time, this documentation will go away. 

  1. Navigate to the page you would like to edit
  2. Locate the content layout you would like to modify
  3. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the content layout

    The gear icon appears to the left of the plus button. This offers settings for the content layout area.

  4. From the Background Choice dropdown, select the color you'd like to set as the background color

    The Background Choice dropdown offers several selections. It has a default selected, but several other color options exist.

  5. Note: You may choose to upload an image, however you will need to take care to make sure overlaid text is readable.
