WiscIT - Running an Existing Search

This document details how to run an existing search in the WiscIT Cherwell Application.

Searching can be useful for finding business objects. While new searches can be made, pre-made searches already exist that may help locate these objects.

Running Searches

  1. Open the Search Manager following these steps: WiscIT - Accessing the Search Manager
  2. Set the Association dropdown to the business object of your choice. Most pre-created searches are for Incidents, but others also exist.
  3. Navigate to the folder of your choice. Usually pre-created searches by the WiscIT Admins will be in the Global folder, while searches made by your team will be in your Team folder.
  • Web Client: Users of the Web Client will need to click the "Searches Home" button in order to view the list of all top-level folders.
  • Either double click the search, or right-click and press Run.
