KB User's Guide - Documents Tab - Suggest a Document Link - How to Submit a Suggestion

The Suggest a document link allows users to submit requests for new documentation.

The link to suggest a new document appears in three different places:

  • At the bottom of the search results table
  • On an empty search results page (i.e. when no results were found)
  • At the bottom of a document in the feedback section

Clicking on any one of these Suggest a document links will take you to the Submit or Suggest a New Document Form.

If you arrived on the form from a search results page, your search terms will be automatically entered in the "Suggested Keywords" field. If you are coming from a KB document, the referral page will be noted above the form and included in the resulting email notification.

Fill in the form, and put in as much detail as possible with your suggestion. The more content you can provide, the easier it will be for someone to turn your suggestion into a new document. When you are ready, click Submit to send your suggestion.

If you are a KB admin, encourage your KB authors and end users to make suggestions—this is one of the best ways to find out what content they expect to find on your site.
