Opera 56 (Windows) - Enable or Disable the Pop-Up Blocker

This document explains how to enable and disable Opera's pop-up blocker.

  1. Open Opera.
  2. Open the Menu by clicking on the red O in the top left corner. 
  3. From the drop-down, select Settings.
  4. Expand the Advanced menu by clicking on the accompanying grey triangle.
  5. Select Privacy & security.

    Expand the advanced settings and select privacy and security.

  6. From the Privacy and security options list, locate and click on Content settings.

    Select content settings.

  7. Locate and select Pop-ups and redirects.
  8. Toggle the Allowed switch according to your preference. If the switch is blue, pop-ups and redirects will not blocked. 
  9. If your preferences are set to allow pop-ups, you can make exceptions by adding websites whose pop-ups and redirects you would like to block by clicking the Add button beside Block. If your preferences are set to block pop-ups, you can make exceptions by adding websites whose pop-ups and redirects you would like to allow by clicking the Add button beside Allow. See the example below for an image of these settings.

    Toggle the allowed button as desired or white-list/black-list specific websites.
