Service Description

HelioCampus AC is an assessment management system that offers several applications including direct evidence of student learning (DESL) at program and/or course level, course syllabi, assessment planning and reports, and course evaluations. The Provost Office, in partnership with DoIT Academic Technology, leads this project and has assembled a support team to work with participating departments.

      • DESL Pedagogy
      • DESL Program: Cases regarding HelioCampus AC direct assessment of student learning (DESL) at the program level. 
      • Feature Change: Cases for customers who would like to request a feature in Canvas.
      • NetID Change: Used by Learn@UW-Madison Team only; when users get their NetID changed in Middleware, HelioCampus AC doesn't automatically update, so the admins have to go in and manually change/merge accounts.
      • Notification or Emails: Cases related to email notifications, particularly reminder emails to complete a survey.
      • Technical Help - Cases where customers need help with a general technical issue.

      • Results and Reports: For HelioCampus AC analytics cases.
      • Survey Instance: Cases that regard a specific survey.
      • Survey Schedules: Questions about the Survey Schedule Wizard or configuring surveys to open at a certain date.
      • Survey Templates: Cases regarding survey template creation or modification.
      • Syllabus: Cases regarding the UW-Madison Official Canvas and HelioCampus AC - Using the Course Syllabus (HelioCampus AC) Tool Cases regarding the UW-Madison Official Syllabus Tool ([Link for document 79039 is unavailable at this time]).

      • User Accounts: Cases regarding problems with users accounts, such as login, access, or permissions.

For ALL incidents, gather the following minimum required information:

Clear, detailed description of the problem

Complete customer contact information

If requesting new HelioCampus AC account, collect handling from HelioCampus AC - Users - Requesting a User Account [UW-Madison]. Must include approval from an academic chair, a department or college supervisor, or a current HelioCampus AC administrator for the department where access is requested.
