Learn@UW - SCID Contacts for Consulting, Support, and SAA Approval
While the Learn@UW team provides central support for its learning technologies, some schools, colleges, institutes, and departments (SCIDs) have their own instructional technologists to handle support and consultation cases. When Learn@UW staff receive a consultation request, they should refer to this document to determine whether the request should be handled by Learn@UW consultants or whether it should be referred to instructional technologists listed here.

People who have questions about or need help with instructional technology in general assignment classrooms should contact the AV Help Desk. However, we occasionally get questions related to classroom technology because of the integration with that technology and Kaltura for lecture capture purposes. So any questions that Learn@UW receives about classroom lecture capture or related technology in classrooms should be forwarded to Classroom Media Support through the email address below.

- We can handle urgent cases, one-offs, purely technical/tool questions, or cases that naturally land within our support, but we should still send an FYI-email to idc@ls.wisc.edu.
- Anything we feel unsure about we should also send an FYI-email to idc@ls.wisc.edu.
- L&S IDC would like whatever Help Desk reports and data we can share.
Libraries
The libraries do not have faculty and instructional staff assigned to them as an administrative unit. However, like us, they support faculty and instructional staff across campus. In particular, they help with Comm A and Comm B core course development and curriculum, and offer corresponding workshops and teaching sessions.
Regarding instructional technology, they have a stake in the Sift & Winnow module, Spring Share, Research Guides LTI, the Librarian Role in Canvas, and the Library Course Reading List (Reserves).

The Educational Technology group in the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) does not have set guidelines for what is and isn't supported by their department. Kristin Simon and her team will triage and get back to us if they would like to take it over or otherwise be involved in the consult or support ticket.

- Emailing that address will create a Jira ticket in their system.

Procedure
The SoN Academic Technology Team would like to be the first point of contact for SoN instructors. Even if it is a support/technical issue they would like to review it first.
- Please send tickets received by DoIT AT to SoN AT by emailing sonat@son.wisc.edu (Should ping George on email or Teams first as they only check that email a couple of times a week. We can refer faculty to reach out to blended@son.wisc.edu)
- If the request exceeds available SoN resources, or falls beyond SoN AT competencies, they will forward the request to DoIT AT team at the specified Learn@UW email address.
- George Jura is our point of contact with SON support.
If DoIT AT is planning on sharing stats for help requests received directly, we would like to be included on the shared-with list, if possible.

UHS worked with AT Staff to create these courses, before the creation of CTLM. CTLM staff temporarily supported these courses, but has since transferred support to Learn@UW. Learn@UW Support handles requests for support or inquiries for these specific training courses. For cases that can’t be solved by Learn@UW Support agents, contact Andy Posselt.
CTLM is not currently taking on any new projects in the noncredit space. Future inquiries related to noncredit mandatory or compliance related training should be handled by the Learn@UW instructional design
