WiscWeb - Hiding a content layout row

This document will teach a user how to hide a content layout row in the UW Theme so that it doesn’t appear on the live page.

Features

  • Hides the row from the live view of the page.
  • Content will not appear in the source markup/code of the page.

Use cases

  • You want to build some content early but not publish until a later date.
  • You have content that is only relevant at certain times of the year.
  • You’re building out a new site and playing around with different layouts/styles of content.

Steps

  1. Find and click the gear icon in the top right corner of the content layout.

  2. In the box that opens, locate the “Hide this row” option.

    "Hide a row" heading followed by information about the feature and a toggle for the setting.

  3. Toggle the option to hide the row.
