WiscWeb - WordPress UW Theme - Using Widgets On Posts Pages

Widgets are additional components that can be added to a Post List page (such as a full News page) that would allow additional navigation and display options. This article will walk you through adding and configuring those widgets.

To add or remove Widgets to your Post List Page, follow these steps:

  1. Hover your mouse over the Appearance menu on the left, and choose Widgets.

  2. In the left side of the screen, you have the options you can add to your sidebar, and on the right side you can drag and drop those options into the Blog Sidebar section.

  3. Once you have added your widgets, you can also set some options. For example, if you click on the drop down arrow for Archives or Categories, you can set them to appear as a drop down menu instead of all listed. Once you set any options, click the Save button.

  4. As always, check your Posts page to confirm your Widgets are working.
