UW-Madison Email Choices:
  • Personal Email Addresses:
    • Everyone gets a UW email address in the format netid@wisc.edu.
    • You can optionally set up a more user-friendly address like first.last@wisc.edu.
  • Group Email for Collaboration:
    • Create an M365 Group to share resources like a calendar, inbox, or document library with colleagues. This is a great option for project teams or committees.
  • Departmental Email Accounts:
    • Departments can request custom email addresses (e.g., dept-feedback@wisc.edu) for specific roles or functions that aren't tied to one person.
    • M365 Service Accounts are another option for these scenarios.
  • Scheduling Resources:
    • Need to book a meeting room or equipment? Resource calendars are available upon request.
  • Additional Email Domains:
