Connecting to WiscVPN Without Signing In
Step by step instructions on how to connect to the UW Madison (Wisc) VPN before signing into your WSB Windows computer.
- From the Windows Login screen, look in the bottom right corner to see a small lock and key icon next to your Wi-Fi, accessibility, and power icons.
- Click the lock icon, and you'll see a prompt to choose your VPN portal. It should automatically fill out "uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu". Click the arrow to progress to signing in.
- Enter your NetID, and NetID password in the username and password fields.
- You'll be prompted for Duo as per usual, complete the Duo prompt.
- Finally, you'll land on a "Connected" screen. At this point, you can click "Back" and then sign into your computer as normal with your NetID, and NetID Password.
