You can connect the iPad to any WiFi network as long as you know the credential for the network you want to connect. Most people have their own home network and the work or school network. Once you connect to a WiFi network, the device remembers the login and will connect you automatically if you are in the proximity of the service area. This is good, because you do not have to keep entering your password every time you want to connect. These are the steps you need to follow to connect to a WiFi network.

Step-by-step Instructions:

4. Selecting your Wi-Fi network

On the right side of the screen you will see a list of available networks, choose your network. In our case we will choose UWNet. This is the wireless network for all the instructors, students and UW staff. If this is your first time you are using this particular network, it will ask you to enter your NetID and password. If all is correct, the UWNet Wi-Fi network will show up with a check mark on the left side. This will indicate that you are ready to use that specific wireless network.
