Wisconsin School of Business Smart Podium Support

Introduction

Beginning with the 2014 Fall semester, Academic Technology & Web will be installing stylus-driven 'Smart Podium" touch-screens in various lecture spaces throughout the School of Business: These devices will allow you to both manipulate and annotate your projected lecture materials.

Quick Start

  • Using your mouse, double-click the "SMART Ink" icon, which is located on the left side of the desktop

(note that there are two similar icons: The "SMART Ink" icon as well as the "SMART Ink Document Viewer").

  • Please note that it will take several seconds for the software to load.

  • You may now use the stylus drawing capabilities by selecting a colored ink button, which is located at the top of the display itself.

  • To use the stylus as a mouse, press the "select" button (which resembles a cursor icon): This button is located 5th to the right in the top of the display.
  • Note that you may continue to use the mouse as normal.
