A quick how-to guide on using the Panasonic Touch Monitors in breakout rooms.

To Access Menus

If there is no menu tab on the screen, tap the screen once to make the tab appear.

Using the Room Computer

Step 1. Turn on the Panasonic monitor by pushing the power button on the side of the monitor. If the computer is off, turn this on as well.

Step 2. If needed, change the display setting on the screen to PC (see To Access Menus above for help).

Step 3. Use the wireless keyboard and mouse to control the room computer.

Using Your Own Laptop/Tablet with Cable

You can connect using both VGA and HDMI cables, whichever you need for your device. Please stop down to the Digital Media office, room 1290, if you need an adapter.

Step 1. Turn on the Panasonic monitor by pushing the power button on the side of the monitor.

Step 2. If you are using the VGA cable, change the display setting to Laptop. If you are using the HDMI cable, change the display setting on the screen to HDMI2 (see To Access Menus above for help).

Mirroring

Step 1. Turn on the Panasonic monitor by pushing the power button on the side of the monitor.

Step 2. Enable mirroring on your device.

Step 3. Change the display setting on the screen to Mirroring (see To Access Menus above for help).

Note: mirroring does not work with Apple devices. Please see Wireless below.

Wireless

Step 1. Search "Panasonic projector" in the App Store. The first app that should appear is called Panasonic Wireless Projector.

Step 2. Turn on the Panasonic monitor by pushing the power button on the side of the monitor.

Step 3. Change the display setting on the screen to Wireless. To do this, first select More in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Then, select Wireless from the list of available options (see To Access menus above for help). The Wireless screen should look similar to the following:


Step 4. With your Apple device, please connect to the wifi network name that is displayed on the Wireless screen. There should be a SSID and a password. Find the wifi network on your device. To see the password, press the Mute/Unmute button. Connect to this network.

Step 5. Open the Wireless PJ app that you downloaded. The app will search for available projectors. Select the projector in your room. You can now display documents, photos, etc.

Whiteboard

The Panasonic monitor also has the ability to act as a whiteboard. The access the whiteboard, press the More option in the lower right hand part of the screen. Then select Whiteboard from the list of available options (see To Access Menus above for help).
