The Wisconsin School of Business’s Learning Commons is a collaborative learning space in the heart of Grainger Hall. Underscoring the School’s commitment to educational innovation, the Learning Commons is a vibrant locale for students to exchange ideas, access cutting-edge technology, and learn in new and inspiring ways.
A joint project between WSB and the UW–Madison General Library System, the donor-funded initiative—which opened in May 2018—renovated nearly 35,000 square feet of Grainger Hall. The Learning Commons is home to the Huber Undergraduate Computing Lab, the Finance and Analytics Lab, five active learning classrooms, 10 breakout rooms, and numerous study areas. Designed as a space for inspiration and reflection, the Learning Commons contains sophisticated technology to help students and instructors reach their respective learning and teaching goals.
With flexible environments, improved connectivity, and forward-thinking technology, the Learning Commons is designed to serve the needs of the WSB community today and in the future. To read more about the Learning Commons rooms, click on the ALC or FAL links above.
