AT-How to use the New Panels in Grainger Rooms: Sound and Screen Control

Explains how to use new poduim panels in Grainger rooms

1.Overview

After the system has warmed up, the panel will show you this input selection screen. The mic volume control is located on the left side of the screen. The input volume control is located on the right side of the screen. To control the projection screen, use the two buttons on the bottom of the panel.

2. Sound Control

2.1 Mic Volume Control:

Mic Volume Control

On the left side of the AMX panel, you will see the “Mic Volume.” This controls the volume emitting from the mic system within the room, either through a handheld or lapel. To increase the volume, press and hold the “Up” button. To decrease the volume, press and hold the “Down” button. When correctly pressed, the buttons will turn green, like this:

 Inactive  Active
 Volume Up: Inactive  Volume Up: Active By pressing and holding this button, sound from the current mic will increase.
 Volume Down: Inactive Volume Down: Active  By pressing and holding this button, sound from the current mic will decrease.

To mute the volume emitted from the mic, press the “Mute” button. When the mic is muted, this button will flash between red and yellow, as seen here:

To end the mute, press the button once more. The mic will now return to the volume it was set at prior to being muted.

 Inactive Active 
 Mic Mute: Inactive Mic Mute: Active By pressing this button, you can turn on and turn off the mute on the Mic.


2.2 Input Volume Control:

On the right side of the AMX panel, you will see the “Input Volume.” This controls the sound coming from the selected input source. To increase the volume, press and hold the “Up” button. To decrease the button, press and hold the “Down” button. When correctly pressed, the buttons will turn green, like this:

 Volume Up: Inactive Volume Up: Active By pressing and holding this button, sound from the current input source will increase.
 Volume Down: Inactive Volume Down: Active By pressing and holding this button, sound from the current input source will decrease.

3. Screen Control

On the bottom part of the Input page, there are two buttons controlling the height of the screen. In some rooms, the screen will automatically come down and go back up in association to the system being on or off. For rooms that do not have these capabilities, you can control the screen with these two buttons:

 Inactive Active
 Screen Up: Inactive Screen Up: Active By pressing this button, the projector screen will be lifted up.
 Screen Down: Inactive Screen Down: Inactive By pressing this button, the projector screen will be dropped down.
