Mental Research Institute (MRI) |
The Mental Research Institute provides grants to fund breakthrough research projects that use an interactional approach to facilitate healthy relationships. Pre-proposals are accepted on a rolling basis, and applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal for funding consideration. Awards are $25K (general grant) or $75K (healing family division grant). |

US Department of Agriculture (USDA) |
NIFA's Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) - Education and Workforce Development (EWD) focuses on developing the next generation of research, education, and Extension professionals in the food and agricultural sciences. In 2023, the program includes support for: non-formal education that cultivates food and agricultural interest in youth; workforce training at community, junior, and technical colleges; training of undergraduate students in research and extension; fellowships for predoctoral candidates and postdoctoral scholars; and special workforce development topics. Application deadlines vary by program area. |

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation | Pioneering Ideas: Exploring the Future to Build a Culture of Health seeks proposals that are primed to influence health equity in the future. We are interested in ideas that address any of these four areas of focus: Future of Evidence; Future of Social Interaction; Future of Food; Future of Work. Additionally, we welcome ideas that might fall outside of these four focus areas, but which offer unique approaches to advancing health equity and our progress toward a Culture of Health. Awards are 12-24 months and cover NRSA predoctoral stipend plus $15,000 for additional expenses. |
