Conference Room 1101

This document contains information about features available in Biochemistry Room 1101 and instructions for using AV equipment.

Room 1101 is located in the Hector F. DeLuca Biochemistry Building at 420 Henry Mall.

Projector and Screen

The projector is controlled by the panel located in the northeast corner of the room.  To turn the projector on and lower the screen, press the ON button. Pressing the OFF button will turn the projector off and raise the screen.

Please make sure the projector is turned off when you are done.

AppleTV (AirPlay)

AppleTV allows wireless connection from most Apple devices via AirPlay. Apple provides AirPlay instructions for the devices below.

MacOS iPhone, iPad, or iPod 

Device Name: BIOC-Rm 1101-1600

  1. Make sure the projector is ON and APPLE TV is selected on the control panel.
  2. You can then initiate a connection to the AppleTV from your device using the instructions provided by Apple above
  3. You will be prompted to enter a 4-digit security code to ensure you are connecting to the correct device and prevent unauthorized connections.

Once connected, you can adjust display resolution, screen mirroring or extended display, etc. as desired within your device's System Preferences/Settings

HDMI

This connection is located on the wall plate below the projector control panel.

An HDMI cable is provided for use with the projector.

  1. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop or device.
  2. Make sure the projector is ON and HDMI 1 is selected on the control panel.

Once connected you can adjust display resolution, screen mirroring or extended display, etc. as desired from the relevant System Preferences/Settings.

Speakers

The volume dial controls the volume of the audio playing through the speakers in the room. The speakers will play any audio provided by one of the inputs available in for the projector.

You can mute the audio by pressing the Audio Mute button. Press the button again to turn the sound back on.

Lighting Controls

There are two light switches near the entrance to the room. The left switch provides approximately 60% lighting. The right switch provides approximately 40% lighting.

Please make sure all lights are off when you leave the room.
