Downloading PDFs of multiple applications

Below is the quickest way to compile PDFs of all of your applications to share with faculty reviewers.

Please note: the previous method that downloaded all the PDFs at one time did not download the complete application. Using the directions below will ensure the downloaded PDF contains the entire application.

  1. Navigate to the Slate Homepage Queries and Run a Homepage Query. Choose the query that makes the most sense for your situation. For example, if you wish to gather PDFs of all of your submitted applications, select the All Submitted Applications query. Once the query results populate, it will look similar to the screenshot below:

  2. Export the query results to an Excel Spreadsheet by selecting Excel Spreadsheet as your Output and selecting the Export button.

  3. In the downloaded spreadsheet, one of the columns will be titled PDF URL. The URLs in this column lead to the PDF version of the application in Slate. To access these PDF URLs, a user will need a Slate account with the UW-Madison Graduate School. Use the following KB to request Slate access and permissions.

  4. Once accessed, you can either view the PDF in the browser or download it by using your browser's download option.
