Web Hosting - How to View Your Website's Usage Statistics

Web usagage statistics are provided for all web accounts (both Windows and Linux) for the past 12 months, and we roll over data more than one year old.

NOTE: The current tool AWStats is being deprecated and you can switch to the new supported offerings:

  • Linux: GoAccess is the direct replacement for AWStats across supported Linux distributions
  • Windows: Webalizer remains the primary alternative for web statistics on Windows.

NOTE for CDN Static Hosting: CloudFront access logging is disabled by default in AWS.  However, customers can request that we enable S3 directed logs if you have a use case. 

Windows IIS & LAMP Accounts

  1. Login to your Plesk control panel.

  3. Enter your password - Your stats are password-protected. To log in, use the same username and password you use for Secure FTP.

  4. (Optional) Change your stats password

    1. You can change this password or add a new user:

      1. Go to the Password-Protected Directories page.

      2. Find the folder named /plesk-stat.

      3. Follow the steps to add or change the password for that folder. (For details, see Web Hosting - Password Protecting Your Site.)

Advanced statistics and analysis: For more detailed log analysis and debugging, you can download or view your site's "raw log files" See Web Hosting - Log File Access)

Google Analytics: For even more detail, see Google Analytics. It provides more detailed, user-centric insights than traditional web log analysis because it runs client-side JavaScript code in the browser rather than just recording raw server requests.
