How do I configure MailStore?
It is recommended that you configure MailStore Server using the Archiving Multiple Mailboxes feature.
This process will require:
- Create a service account using Wisc Account Administration site.
- Grant the service account full mailbox permissions to the accounts that will be archived/backed up.
- Configure the mailboxes that are going to be archived/backed up within MailStore Server client.
- Configure Archiving Multiple Mailboxes profile to archive/back up the users you configured in the previous step. Step 1 in this document is replaced by using an Office 365 Service Account you created above.
When configuring the service account within MailStore Server as part of the multiple mailbox profile configuration, you must enter for service account email address using the following format: name@wisc.edu.
When configuring user accounts within the "Users" area in MailStore Server, you must enter the email address using the primary address of the account.
How is MailStore Server supported?
DoIT Help Desk will be able to verify if the service account has the necessary permissions (as stated above) to the accounts that are being archived/backed up. If you are experiencing any other issue within MailStore Server, contact the vendor directly for further troubleshooting.
