Troubleshooting file share problems on LINCOMM

Common issues that may occur when trying to access the AAE file share from LINCOMM
If you encounter a permissions error when trying to access the AAE File Server, you most likely need to renew your Kerberos ticket from campus Active Directory.   Below you will find the simple step to do that.

A sign this is the issue you're having, is if you run an ls command on /mnt/aae
ls: cannot access aae: Permission denied
total 0
d????????? ? ? ? ?            ? aae

This indicates that you no longer have a valid Kerberos ticket.   To create a new ticket, type:

kinit

It will prompt you for a password.  Use your NetID password.

That is it.  You should now have access again to the AAE File share.
