Apple School Manager - Device Enrollment Eligibility

This document details the scenarios in which newly purchased Apple devices are automatically added to UW-Madison's Apple School Manager (ASM) portal.

New devices purchased through the following methods are automatically added into ASM:

  • ShopUW+
  • Voice Services
  • CDW**

**Note that devices purchased through CDW will require you to add the following SKU to your cart before purchase or to contact your CDW rep after ordering.

While the sources above are preferred for campus purchases, Apple has introduced the ability to add devices purchased from other sources to ASM, including iPhones running iOS 16 or later, iPads running iPadOS 16 and later, and Mac computers with an Apple Silicon or T2 Security Chip running macOS 12 Monterey or later.
