HelioCampus AC - Eval Results - Reports Library (Instructor) [UW-Madison]

The Course Evaluations module, within HelioCampus AC, is used to collect course evaluations from students. Once the students have responded, and the course evaluation survey has closed, you may be interested in extracting the data from these responses.

For this purpose, HelioCampus AC has produced several pre-built reports. Below are links to documents that will provide information and instructions on the reports available to you as an instructor.

There are two common routes to accessing the HelioCampus AC course evaluation reports.

Option 1: Sidebar

1. Log into your HelioCampus AC dashboard, at heliocampusac.wisc.edu.
2. Select the Main Menu button (upper-left corner) to open the sidebar.
   
   
   
3. Select Analytics>Report Library.
   

This will open the report dashboard and display a master list of all reports currently available within HelioCampus AC including Survey and Course Evaluation Reports. (Note: You have to scroll down to locate these reports).

Option 2: Dashboard

The other route to access the HelioCampus AC Course Evaluation reports, is through the Recent History panel of the Heliocampus AC dashboard.

1. Log into your HelioCampus AC dashboard, at heliocampusac.wisc.edu.
2. Go to Report Library in the Recent History panel.
   
   
   
3. This is the same indexed list of available reports as you would see in the Report Library (Option 1 shown above.)

Both routes lead to the same list of available reports. Be Advised: There are many reports available, but many are not used. Most reports are in the sections Course and Course Section Audits and Survey and Course Evaluation Reports.

Below are links to the informational KB documents for each report we currently recommend. For most tenure packets, the Course Section Trend Analysis report is useful because you can choose to also view the department average for each survey question. If you want graphs and tables, then choose the Course Evaluation Analysis Report. The Course Section Trend Analysis is an Excel sheet and the Course Evaluation Analysis is a PDF.

• Course Evaluation Analysis Report Analysis of course evaluation results (student, faculty, or general course) at the college, department, course, or section level aggregation. 
• Student Course Evaluation Results by Instructor Report Access detailed course evaluation responses by instructor, featuring key metrics per question. Tailored for analyzing specific feedback by instructor or section, this report enables targeted reviews of faculty performance or feedback focus, displaying results by selected instructor, section, and question without aggregating data. 
• Course Section Trend Analysis Analysis of course evaluation results over multiple terms. Results can be aggregated at the college, department, course, and instructor level. Option to compare these results to any level within the organizational hierarchy. Includes average, standard deviation, and mode for all questions in the survey template. 
• Student Course Evaluation Metric Trend Analysis Analyze key metrics from student course evaluations, aggregating data across instructors, courses, and sections. This report focuses on metric-based questions from the survey template, showcasing aggregated results tailored to courses, sections, or instructors. Applicable exclusively to evaluations with metric questions.
