CALS Human Resources assists and supports departments/centers/units and employees throughout the college in all aspects of employment, workforce relations, compensation and titling, talent management, and payroll/benefit services.

  • Oversees the college's administrative operations of CALS Business Services, CALS Human Resources, CALS IT, and the Wisconsin Agricultural Experiment Station
  • Plans, directs, and manages strategic planning initiatives for college finance and administrative functions
  • Develops, recommends, and implements approved policies and procedures, and ensures strategic alignment
  • Responsible of all aspects of college budgeting, financial planning, human resources, data management, information technology, and post-award financial operations, compliance, and audits
  • Responsible for all funds distribution, balances, expenditures, and reporting for the college
  • Responsible for management of the CALS faculty, including hiring, promotion, tenure and post-tenure activities. Primary point of contact for departments and UW-Madison administrative units on faculty issues and manages the college's administrative team.

  • Responsible for oversight and coordination of college level workforce related issues, including but not limited to performance, staff misconduct, harassment, hostile and intimidating behaviors
  • Assists Angela Seitler, Veronica Law, and Tammy Haack with planning, implementation, and management of strategic initiatives for college human resources functions
  • Implementing, operationalizing, and monitoring the use of approved policies and procedures, and ensuring strategy alignment
