Manifest - Editing Group Membership

Learn how to add individual NetIDs, add other Manifest groups, or remove members from your Manifest group.

Before You Begin

To perform any of the tasks below, you must first navigate to your target Manifest group:

  • Use a direct link to your group.
  • Or, log into the Manifest service portal and select your group from the dashboard.

Adding Individuals

  1. Click the Members tab.
  2. Click the + Add Members button.
  3. Enter the NetIDs you wish to add, separated by commas or entered on new lines.
  4. Click + Add Individuals. Note: Any invalid NetIDs must be corrected before the button will process the request.
  5. (Optional - RECOMMENDED) Select today's date in the Start Date field to maintain accurate record-keeping.

  6. Click Save.

Adding Groups

  1. Click the Members tab.
  2. Click the + Add Members button.
Important: If your group is configured to send out membership invitations to people who do not have NetIDs, you will not have the option to add another group as a member.
  3. In the Add group member field, begin typing the Group ID Path of the group you wish to add. Manifest will query matches as you type; click the correct group when it appears in the dropdown menu.
Note on Search Visibility: If a group is not appearing in the search results, verify that you have at least VIEW permission for that group. The owner of that group may need to update your access or disable the "Hide this group from search results" option. For instructions, see Manifest - Manage Group Privileges.
