Printing (CIAS) - Adding Printers

This article provides instructions for adding a Canon printer to your device in the CIAS Department.

Prerequisites

  • Device connected via Ethernet.
  • Device connected to GlobalProtect VPN.
  • Printer power is turned on.

Canon Color ImageClass LBP622Cdw

Windows

  1. Open the Canon LBP622Cdw Support page.
  2. Click Software & Drivers.
  3. Verify operating system in the "Select and Identify Operating System" box.
  4. Select your operating system from the "Select the Version" dropdown menu.
  5. Select Drivers from the "Download Type" dropdown menu.
  6. Click Download for the latest driver. If a prompt asks to allow downloads, click Allow.
  7. Open the downloaded file.
  8. Click Yes to allow changes to your device.
  9. Follow the prompts to install. Select Standard on the "Printer Setup" screen.
  10. Select Canon LBP622C from the "Default" tab. If the printer is not listed:
    1. Verify the printer is turned on.
    2. Verify the printer is not in sleep mode by pressing the Status Monitor button on the front panel.
    3. Contact CALS IT for assistance.
  11. Click Start.
  12. Click Exit to close the installation window.

macOS

  1. Open the Canon LBP622Cdw Support page.
  2. Click Software & Drivers.
  3. Verify operating system in the "Select and Identify Operating System" box. Mac (detected) will prefill.
  4. Select your operating system from the "Select the Version" dropdown menu.
  5. Select Drivers from the "Download Type" dropdown menu.
  6. Click Download for the latest driver. If a prompt asks to allow downloads, click Allow.
  7. Open the downloaded file.
  8. Double-click the installer file and follow the prompts to complete installation.
  9. Click Close when prompted.
  10. Open System Settings.
  11. Click Printers & Scanners.
  12. Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax...
  13. Select Canon LBP622C from the "Default" tab. If the printer is not listed:
    1. Verify the printer is turned on.
    2. Verify the printer is not in sleep mode by pressing the Status Monitor button on the front panel.
    3. Contact CALS IT for assistance.
  14. Click Select Software... from the "Use" dropdown menu.
  15. Type LBP622C in the filter field.
  16. Select Canon LBP622C.
  17. Click Add.
