Printing (CIAS) - Adding Printers
This article provides instructions for adding a Canon printer to your device in the CIAS Department.
Prerequisites
- Device connected via Ethernet.
- Device connected to GlobalProtect VPN.
- Printer power is turned on.
Canon Color ImageClass LBP622Cdw
Windows
- Open the Canon LBP622Cdw Support page.
- Click Software & Drivers.
- Verify operating system in the "Select and Identify Operating System" box.
- Select your operating system from the "Select the Version" dropdown menu.
- Select Drivers from the "Download Type" dropdown menu.
- Click Download for the latest driver. If a prompt asks to allow downloads, click Allow.
- Open the downloaded file.
- Click Yes to allow changes to your device.
- Follow the prompts to install. Select Standard on the "Printer Setup" screen.
- Select Canon LBP622C from the "Default" tab. If the printer is not listed:
- Verify the printer is turned on.
- Verify the printer is not in sleep mode by pressing the Status Monitor button on the front panel.
- Contact CALS IT for assistance.
- Click Start.
- Click Exit to close the installation window.
macOS
- Open the Canon LBP622Cdw Support page.
- Click Software & Drivers.
- Verify operating system in the "Select and Identify Operating System" box. Mac (detected) will prefill.
- Select your operating system from the "Select the Version" dropdown menu.
- Select Drivers from the "Download Type" dropdown menu.
- Click Download for the latest driver. If a prompt asks to allow downloads, click Allow.
- Open the downloaded file.
- Double-click the installer file and follow the prompts to complete installation.
- Click Close when prompted.
- Open System Settings.
- Click Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax...
- Select Canon LBP622C from the "Default" tab. If the printer is not listed:
- Verify the printer is turned on.
- Verify the printer is not in sleep mode by pressing the Status Monitor button on the front panel.
- Contact CALS IT for assistance.
- Click Select Software... from the "Use" dropdown menu.
- Type
LBP622Cin the filter field. - Select Canon LBP622C.
- Click Add.
