The information below outlines the operational calendar and enrollment commitment for the Child Development Lab (CDL) for the 2026–2027 year beginning August 31 2026 through September 3, 2027.

| October 26-28 | CDL Closed: Developmental summaries/conference prep, classroom team meetings & Wisconsin Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Conference |
| November 13 | Late Start: CDL opens at 8:30 |
| November 25 | Early Close at 12:30: Thanksgiving Recess |
| November 26 | CDL Closed: Legal Holiday-Thanksgiving Day |
| November 27 | CDL Closed: Thanksgiving Recess |
| December 18 | Early Close at 3:30 |
| December 21, 2026- January 1, 2027 | CDL Closed: (2 weeks) Winter Recess Including legal holidays: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day |
| January 4, 2027 – January 15 | CDL Resumes-Interim hours 8:30 AM-5:00 PM |
| January 18 | CDL Closed: Legal Holiday-Martin Luther King Jr. Day |
| January 19 | CDL Returns to 7:30-5:30 hours of operation |
| March 5 | Late Start: CDL opens at 8:30 AM |
| March 22 – March 26 | CDL Closed: Spring Break |
