College of Engineering Program Proposal Deadlines (Large Changes)

Program proposal deadlines for programs with major (big) changes in the College of Engineering

The following deadlines apply to proposals in Lumen Programs that require committee approval by the College, the Grad School (if applicable), and the University. Examples include creation or discontinuation of a program, changes to Program Learning Outcomes, changes to more than 50% of curriculum requirements, or transfer of a program to a new academic home. For small changes, see these deadlines instead. Note that if there are new courses as part of your program proposal, they must also be approved before the program can be approved by GFEC and the UAPC.

Big changes are generally not allowed during the mid-cycle update in October (Spring Guide publication). See Lumen Procedures: Midcycle Updates for details.

Approval processes vary within departments. When beginning work on your proposal, please read more to learn about the requirements, and contact your Academic Planner.
