Sikandra Kurdi, Jose Luis Figueroa, Hosam Ibrahim. 2020. Nutritional training in a humanitarian context: Evidence from a cluster randomized trial. Maternal and Child Nutrition https://doi.org/10.1111/mcn.12973.

This study examines the impact of behavioral change communication through the Yemen Cash for Nutrition program. Derek D Headey, Giordano Palloni. 2020. Stunting and Wasting Among Indian Preschoolers have Moderate but Significant Associations with the Vegetarian Status of their Mothers. Journal of Nutrition https://doi.org/10.1093/jn/nxaa042.

This paper presents the results of the first systematic exploration of associations between different types of vegetarianism and a range of child undernutrition indicators in a nationally representative sample of Indian households. They show that children of lactovegetarian mothers—compared with children of nonvegetarian mothers—were less likely to be stunted and less likely to be wasted, and their households had better socioeconomic status and were more likely to consume dairy frequently.

Patricia A. Bamanyaki. 2020. Climate change, food and nutrition policies in Uganda: Are they gender- and nutrition-sensitive?. Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) of the CGIAR Policy Brief 14.

This policy brief from the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture, and Food Security (CCAFS) explores the extent to which gender and nutrition perspectives are mainstreamed across climate change, food, and nutrition policy documents in Uganda and calls for a multisectoral approach to coordination and implementation and regular joint sector performance reviews.
