If you are not connected to the University's wired network, you will have to connect to the uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu or soe.vpn.wisc.edu VPN in Global Protect to be able to access your shared drive. 

1. Open File Explorer, and right click "This PC"

2. Select "Map Network Drive"

3. Choose "S:" as your drive letter. If it is not available choose any other letter you would like. Enter your department or unit's folder path into the "Folder" section. If you do not know the folder path for you department/unit see table below to find it. 

4. Both "Reconnect at sign-in" and "Connect using different credentials" should be checked, then select Finish.

5. You will be prompted to enter credentials; for the Username enter AD\"Your NetID" and use your NetID password for the password. 

6. Check "Remember my credentials", then select OK.
