September 20 - Planned Power Outage - Educational Sciences

A building wide power outage is scheduled for the Educational Sciences Building on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 6:00pm until midnight. Campus Electrical Engineers planned this outage to complete electrical work critical to the operation of the building.
MERIT has no planned service outages to report related to the power outage. Please contact EPCS, Testing and Evaluation Services, and/or WCER Technical Services for information related to their technology services and the outage.
The outage is necessary to replace a temporary medium voltage (4,160 volt) cable that was installed ~2 months ago when the permanent cable between a fused disconnect switch and its associated transformer failed. Medium voltage switch maintenance will also be preformed during this outage. The outage is scheduled to last no longer than 6 hours. If the required work is completed before the scheduled 6 hours, power will be restored ahead of schedule.
