Starting at 7:30 PM this evening, WCER Technical Services will be upgrading the backup software on MAPLE, the file server that hosts the School of Education and WCER home and project drives. No downtime is expected during this process, but if a reboot is necessary it will be performed after the upgrade, with services restored by 8:30 PM.
Starting at 7:30 PM this evening, WCER Technical Services will be upgrading the backup software on MAPLE, the file server that hosts the School of Education and WCER home and project drives. No downtime is expected during this process, but if a reboot is necessary it will be performed after the upgrade. Maple and all of its file shares will be available again no later than 8:30 PM should any unexpected downtime occur. If you plan to work on files stored on MAPLE this evening, we recommend you save a copy locally, in case a restart becomes necessary.
This upgrade should fix issues with the automatic recovery of archived files on MAPLE’s shares, and provide better performance during backup and restore operations.
