InterPro - Online Learning - NCPD - How to Access and Complete the Building Enclosure Commissioning Online Examination
This document provides an outline on the process for accessing and taking the online Building Enclosure Commissioning Certificate Examination.
The Building Enclosure Commissioning Certificate Examination will be administered online within a course site. Follow the steps below to gain access to and take the exam.

Access and log into the online course site.

Note: If you do not have a NetID or password, please contact InterPro Online Support at onlinesupport@interpro.wisc.edu.

- Go to the Canvas Course Dashboard: canvas.wisc.edu
- Enter your NetID and password and select "Log in"
- You should have two Building Enclosure Commissioning Certificate tiles.
- The Review for Building Enclosure Commissioning Certification block is where to access the review site.
- The Building Enclosure Commissioning Certification Examination site is where you will access the exam.
- The Review for Building Enclosure Commissioning Certification block is where to access the review site.
- To access the Exam
- Select the Building Enclosure Commissioning Certification Examination site to open it.
- Select the Continue to Exam button.
- On the modules page, review the Important Exam Reminders, InterPro - Online Learning - Tools & Technology - Canvas - FAQ on Online Quizzes/Exams, and complete the Academic Honesty agreement to unlock the exam.
- Proceed to Part 1 of the exam and begin. You are allowed two attempts for Part 1 and two attempts for Part 2. If you have an active QCxP certificate from the University of Wisconsin, you are exempt from Part 1 and you will only see Part 2.
- Note: Most students are required to complete both Part 1 and Part 2.
- Certificates will be awarded based on the following:
- Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP) certificate:
- A minimum score of 60% (33 out of 55 questions correct) on the Part 1 Exam*
- A minimum score of 80% (80 out of 100 questions correct) on the Part 2 Exam
- Accredited Commissioning Authority + Building Enclosure (CxA+BE) certificate:
- A minimum score of 80% (44 out of 55 questions correct) on the Part 1 Exam*
- A minimum score of 60% (60 out of 100 questions correct) on the Part 2 Exam
- BECxP and CxA+BE certificate:
- A minimum score of 80% (44 out of 55 questions correct) on the Part 1 Exam*
- A minimum score of 80% (80 out of 100 questions correct) on the Part 2 Exam
- Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP) certificate:
*Note: If you hold an active QCxP certificate from the University of Wisconsin, Part 1 is waived and you will be assigned a grade of 100% for Part 1.
- Certificates will be awarded based on the following:
- Note: Most students are required to complete both Part 1 and Part 2.

If you did not achieve the desired score on your first attempt of either exam, you are allowed one retake for each exam (within the scheduled examination period). Simply follow the instructions in step six to complete your second attempt
- Official exam scores and a certificate (if earned) will be awarded approximately 14 days following when the exam closes.
- You will receive an email notification when the certificate is released.
