Public printing locations

Public printing is available in the following locations in Science Hall:

• SH 009: Nelson computer lab
• SH 310: Map Library
• SH M376: Geography computer lab
  • This printer is also available from computers in Map Library and classroom 380.

Important notes before printing

• When printing from a computer in one of these locations, you must be logged in with your NetID login and password. You will not be able to print from any guest or other account.
• Printing is charged to your Wiscard. You must have available funds on your Wiscard prior to printing.
  • How to make a deposit to your Wiscard
  • Department and GNP IT staff are not able to add funds to your Wiscard. 

Printing instructions

1. Print your item from the computer, then go to the print release station by your destination printer.
2. At the print release station, enter your NetID and password to log in.
3. Once you are logged in, you will see a list of queued jobs, which printer each job will print to, and the cost for each job.
4. For each job, under Action either click:
   • Print to release the job to the printer. Your account will be charged at that time.
   • Cancel to delete the job. Your account will not be charged.
5. If you have no more print jobs, you should be automatically logged out of the print release station. Otherwise, you can click the Log out button in the upper left of the window. DO NOT click the Exit button.

Requesting a refund?

If you have an issue with printing a document with the pay-for-print (PaperCut) service, you can request a refund by doing the following:

1. Log into the PaperCut portal.
2. In the Recent Print Jobs menu, find the job that gave you issues, and click "request refund".
3. Fill out and submit the request form.
4. You will be notified when your refund is approved or denied.
