Single IRB (sIRB) Application in ARROW
Version: April 2019
In January 2019, ARROW was revised to include a new path for studies involving four or more sites for which a UW-Madison IRB will serve as the IRB of record. This new path was developed in anticipation of an increase in studies involving multiple sites for which the UW will serve as the reviewing IRB, especially as federal sIRB mandates come into effect.
Study teams are strongly encouraged to consult with the HS IRBs Reliance Team (firstname.lastname@example.org) before using the sIRB application. The Reliance Team can assist researchers in determining which application is right for their study as well as what kind of reliance agreements may be needed.
For more information about the sIRB application, please see this presentation.
