Publishing of the revised standard needs to be coordinated with the general rollout of MFA to students, because the new standard distinguishes between cases where MFA is used or not used. The current Password Policy will be rescinded when the IT Credentials Policy is approved. The Password Standard will become a standard under the IT Credentials Policy which will effectively contain the same mandate as the current Password Policy. |
