UW-Madison Senior-Graduate Status
The following section provides information to L&S undergraduates interested in applying to graduate school who are within 6 credits of graduating with their undergraduate degree.
As of fall 2014, the senior-graduate status is no longer available to UW-Madison undergraduate students.
Prior to fall 2014, seniors within 6 credits of graduation with a 2.750 GPA or better were eligible to apply to the Graduate School for admission on a senior-graduate basis. Application for this status was made through the Graduate School office. If recommended by the department and approved by the Graduate School office, a student was able to enroll with the BA-4 or BS-4 classification and remain under the jurisdiction of the College of Letters & Science. Senior-graduates were able to carry a maximum of 12 credits including undergraduate work. Senior-graduate status was valid for one semester only.
