CP Zoom Recording
How to start a Zoom meeting to record sessions of CP graduate students in the CPTC
Do not use any AI companion features when using Zoom to record sessions in the clinic.
- Open the Zoom Workplace application and login with SSO

- Type uwmadison in the box and click continue

- The browser will open to the UW-Madison NetID login screen. Enter your NetID and password and login with DUO

- Allow the browser to open the Zoom Workplace app to sign you in

- Click on the New Meeting button

- Click on join with computer audio

- Click on the host tools tab (Badge Icon) and click on lock meeting. This will prevent anyone else from accidentally or maliciously joining your meeting session.

- Ensure the audio and video device are set correctly. Click on the arrow next to the video tab (camera icon) and ensure the AXIS device has a check-mark next to it. If not, click on it. Repeat this step for the audio tab (microphone icon).

- Click the record button and click record to the cloud


- When the session is over, click on the end button and click end meeting for all


- The recording will be saved to your Zoom account in the cloud. It may take a minute to save
- To access the recording, open a web browser and go to https://uwmadison.zoom.us/recording
- Login with your NetID
- Click the 3 dots on the right side of the recording you want to save and click download


- Click download again

- If the browser asks to allow zoom.us to download multiple files, click allow
- Two files will be downloaded. One is audio only and the other has audio and video
- The audio and video file has a resolution in the name (e.g., 1280x720) and is a file extension .mp4
- The audio-only file is a .m4a file extension
- Upload the audio and video file to the Box folder shared by your supervisor
- After you've uploaded the file to Box, delete it from the computer
- To access the recording, open a web browser and go to https://uwmadison.zoom.us/recording
- Logout of the computer
