UW-Madison Zoom Service Status

Use the following steps to view current state of your UW-Madison Zoom affiliation and eligibility.

  1. Log into Wisc Account Administration site.
  2. Expand the Account Administration section.
  3. Click Service Status.
  4. If your account is currently active, you will see a Zoom section and its current eligibility.

UW-Madison Zoom Account Status

Use the following steps to view current UW-Madison Zoom status.

  1. Log into Wisc Account Administration site.
  2. Expand the Zoom section.
  3. Click Status.
  4. Depending on the current state of your account, you may see any of the following:
    Account ID Unique account identifier.
    Status Set to 'Active', 'Pending' or 'Eligible'.
    Type Set to 'Licensed' or 'Basic'. Learn more.
    Created At Date/time the account was activated within UW-Madison Zoom.
    Email Email address of the account - always in netid@wisc.edu format.
    First Name First name of account.
    Last Name Last name of account.
    Groups(s) Set to 'Standard', 'Secure', or 'Extension'. Learn more.
    Role Shows Zoom role - generally 'Member'.
    PMI Unique Personal Meeting ID. Your PMI is assigned to you automatically as a permanent personal meeting room. Learn more.
    Personal Meeting URL Your personal link is your personal URL that is associated with your personal meeting room. Learn more.
    Use PMI Set to 'Yes' or 'No'. Learn more.
    Feature Add-on(s) which are assigned to the account. Learn more.

Update access to a UW-Madison Zoom Service Account

Important: This information only applies to Microsoft 365 service accounts that have Zoom enabled.

Contact the DoIT Help Desk for guidance on how to update access to a UW-Madison Zoom service account.

Authorized administrators and domain administrators

Update a user's access to a UW-Madison Zoom service account by following the steps below:

  1. Log into Wisc Account Administration site.
  2. Search for the service account.
  3. Expand the Zoom section.
  4. Click the Linked Accounts tab.
    • The NetID(s) listed will be able to access and use the service account within UW-Madison Zoom.
  5. Manage user access: 
    • Remove access: Select Remove next to the NetID that no longer needs access.
    • Grant access: Enter a user's NetID in the Add Linked NetID field and click on Add.
      • Note: After linking a NetID, the request may take approximately 30 minutes to complete the update.
