Microsoft 365 (Outlook for Android/iOS) - Configuring the Outlook app for Android/iOS
The Outlook for Android/iOS app is the recommended way to connect to your UW-Madison Microsoft 365 account. Unlike the native email and calendar clients on your device, the Outlook app is fully supported by Microsoft.
Important: To begin using modern authentication protocols for Microsoft 365 through Outlook for iOS/Android, please follow the steps outlined within the reconfigure account section below.
When configuring your UW-Madison account, make sure to select Microsoft/Office 365 account type when configuring the Outlook client.
If you are prompted to use Microsoft Authenticator app during the account configuration process, please stop the configuration and delete the Microsoft Authenticator app from your device and try again. UW-Madison does not use this app to authenticate your account.
