Leaving the University - Deactivation Notifications for Microsoft 365, Google, Zoom, Box, and Qualtrics

This document demonstrates what legitimate deactivation notifications for your account will look like when leaving the university.

Effective January 2018, individuals who are no longer eligible for the following UW-Madison IT services may begin to see application and email deactivation notifications:

Affected services

  • Microsoft 365
  • Google Workspace
  • Zoom Workplace
  • Box
  • Qualtrics

Note: Service-based deactivation will not impact the NetID Login Service.

Deactivation notifications within each affected service

Affected individuals who log into the Wisc Account Administration site, Microsoft 365 Web App, and MyUW Portal will begin to see banners appear to inform them they are no longer eligible for the services listed above.

In addition to seeing alert notifications, affected individuals will receive an email notification for each service they will lose access to (ex: Microsoft 365, Google, Zoom, Box, Qualtrics):
