Moodle - Using MathJax in courses
Describes how to use MathJax in moodle courses.
Enabling MathJax in a moodle course
- Go to Settings > Course administration > Filters or if you are in an activity Administration > Course administration > Filters
- Enable the MathJax filter
- Disable the built-in TeX notation filter
- Click the Save changes button
The Tex notation filter converts embedded TeX expressions to images and is enabled by default. You should disable it so that MathJax will handle TeX expressions.
Using MathJax in moodle
MathJax will render TeX and AMS TeX expressions enclosed in the standard TeX delimiters:
Inline TeX formulas: \(...\)
Displayed TeX formulas: \[...\] and $$...$$
MathJax will also render MathML enclosed in <math> tags
For more information, see the MathJax documentation.
