Requesting IT support in the Nelson Institute and Computer Sciences Building

This article explains how to request IT support if you are with the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies and located in Science Hall.

The Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, plus the L&S Departments of Geography and Planning & Landscape Architecture, are supported by the Geography, Nelson Institute, and Planning & Landscape Architecture (GNP) IT team.

The GNP IT Help Desk, now part of Desktop Support Team 3 in L&S Information Technology Services, provides a full range of support to students, faculty, and staff in the L&S Departments of Geography and Planning & Landscape Architecture, plus UW-Madison’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Support is generally available M-F 8:00am-4:30pm. GNP IT staff offices are located in Computer Sciences rooms 2290, 2292, and 2296.

Supported services for the GNP IT Help Desk include university-owned computers and peripherals, department printing, computer labs, classroom support, Science Hall room and resource calendars, account and server access for GNP IT-hosted services, and other needs.
