Jenna Weidner, Associate Dean for Administration

Provides leadership and oversight for Nelson's Administrative Services, including:

  • Human Resources
  • Finance/Budgeting
  • Workday and Administrative Transformation Program (ATP)
  • Research and sponsored programs
  • Space management
  • Administrative policies and procedures
  • General administrative services

Laurel Fletcher, Administrative Specialist

Purchasing, travel, expenses and administration for:

  • Center for Climatic Research (CCR)
  • Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE)

Building Services for:

  • The Enzyme Institute - SAGE offices
  • AOS (Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences) Building - CCR offices

Jill Folkerts, Business Services Manager

  • Nelson coordinator and lead for business services such as purchasing, travel, account management, payroll, and scholarship processing
  • Purchasing, travel, expenses and administration APO

Colleen Godfriaux, Interim Director of Budget and Finance

Part-time support for the Associate Dean for Administration in 2024, focusing on a smooth transition of Nelson's financial management.

Robin Higgins, Administrative Specialist

  • Inventory (field equipment and capital), phones, copiers, etc.
  • Purchasing, travel, expenses and administration for:
    • Advancement and Donor Relations
    • Center for Culture, History, and the Environment
    • Center for Ecology and the Environment
    • Dean's Office
    • Office of Environmental Justice
    • Office of Sustainability

Rebecca Rogers, Accountant

  • Manages Nelson’s financial transactions, including fund transfers, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Assists with budget development, budget management, and financial projections

 Kate Wodyn, Committee & Project Coordinator

  • Committee support (Governance, Executive, Academic Planning Council, WIN)
  • Some project management responsibilities

Karlye Wolff-DeZell, HR Manager

  • Main point of contact for all HR needs
  • Liaison to HR partners in Administrative Services Unit (ASU)

Martina Gross, Research Administration Manager

Manages Nelson’s research administration operations, supporting and supervising the research administrators in addition to providing full life-cycle grant management services to Tracey Holloway and Holly Gibbs. 

Christy Davidson, Research Administrator

Provides full life-cycle grant management services and support to PIs across the Nelson Institute, but mostly those in CCR and Becky Larson.

    Lisa Kelly, Research Administrator 

    Provides full life-cycle grant management services and support to PIs across the Nelson Institute, but mostly those in SAGE.

    Elizabeth Runde, Research Administrator

    Provides full life-cycle grant management services for Nelson's Sustainability Research Hub.

    IT support

    Tino Kaltsas, System Engineer, L&S IT

    • Leads Science Hall IT support, which includes Geography, Nelson, and Planning & Landscape Architecture (aka GNP)
    • Supervises Daven Howard (GNP IT Technical Support Specialist) and Andrey Nevinskiy (GNP IT Systems Engineer)

    Kevin Braun, System Engineer

    Serves as main point of contact for SAGE/CCR IT support.
