Building Automation Network (BAN) - Install Request

Email the information above to openg@doit.wisc.edu.

The Operational Engineers will create a call ticket and submit it to the DoIT engineers.

Timeline for work to be completed

On average it should be within 2 weeks. This depends on current workload and if we need to order parts to fulfill the network design.

If parts have to be ordered, per our vendor, it could be up to 12 weeks. Please note in the email if you need the BAN IP space earlier.

Once the design has been finished and we have enough parts to meet the design requirements, DoIT Engineers will request BAN IP space, configure the network equipment, and have DoIT Field Services install the BAN network.

After installation, FPM-DDC, the UW police, the contact who submitted the request, and others will be notified that the BAN network has been installed for the building in question.
